GlobalFoundries, a semiconductor company, will be receiving $1.5 billion dollars from the federal Government to expand its current facility and build a brand-new chip manufacturing plant at its Capital region location. Ballston Lake Man Facing Sex Abuse, Asssault Charges
A Ballston Lake man has been indicted on 30 counts, including sexual abuse and assault. According to WNYT, 23 year old Dillon M. Buono was arraigned in Saratoga County Court on Wednesday in connection with multiple incidents that prosecutors said occurred from February through September of this year.
Tennessee Man Arrested After Trip To Clifton Park For Alleged Sex With Minor
A Tennessee man is accused of traveling to Clifton Park to have sex with a minor. WNYT reports 37 year old
Donald Jenkins of Clarksville, allegedly started communicating with a person in September to make those plans. Jenkins then rented a car to drive to the Capital Region and meet at a prearranged location. He was arrested this week when he arrived.
No Outside Chairs At Live Nation Events At SPAC
There are no outside chairs allowed if you’re heading to a Live Nation event at Saratoga Performing Arts Center next year. WNYT reports now if you want a chair, you will have to rent one. It will cost you $15 per chair each show. Personal chairs will still be allowed for SPAC produced events, including Saratoga Jazz Festival, Philadelphia Orchestra, and New York City Ballet.

Festive Light Displays In Lake George
Through a lease with the Albany Police Athletic League, Lake George installed several festive light displays that Mayor Raymond Perry will turn on for the holiday season. It is also a walking-only event, as driving by only a few displays can be seen. WTEN reports lights will turn on at 4 p.m. and shut off at 9 p.m. Thursday through Sunday until Saturday, March 1, 2025. The displays will light up every day of the week of Christmas and New Year’s.

Warren County Approves 2025 Budget
Warren County’s proposed 2025 budget, which calls for appropriations of $207.1 million, was approved Nov. 15 by the county Board of Supervisors. Sun Community News reports the budget features an increase in spending of $14.3 million. The spending plan calls for a property tax levy of $53.1 million, an increase of $3.3 million or 6.62 percent higher than in 2024.
Queensbury Public Hearing On Cannabis Dispensary Plans
A public hearing is being held in Queensbury Thursday night to hear the community’s opinion regarding a local liquor store owner’s plans for a cannabis dispensary. According to WRGB, Monty Liu, owner of Monty’s Discount Wine & Liquor store situated at 909 Route 9 in Queensbury, is looking to open a recreational cannabis dispensary in the empty 16,000-square-foot addition Liu recently completed.
