Corinth Woman Cops Plea To Assaulting Infant

A Corinth woman pleaded guilty Wednesday to assaulting an infant. Kaitlyn Walker was arrested in March 2023 after police were contacted by Saratoga County Child Protective Services about an injured infant who was under Walker’s guardianship.
Walker was charged with felony second-degree assault and a misdemeanor of endangering the welfare of a child. She pleaded guilty to the assault charge.

Ballston Spa Woman Charged With Driving Drunk With Child In Vehicle

Ballston Spa woman is accused of drunken driving with a child under 15 in the vehicle. WNYT reports police responded to a crash on Saratoga Road in the town of Ballston just before 9:15 p.m. Tuesday. The driver, 27-year-old Haley A. Czwakiel, was given a test and found to be drunk. She was released on appearance tickets and is due in Ballston Town Court at a later date.

Saratoga County Airport Plans Displayed

New renderings are out for an upgraded Saratoga County Airport. According to WNYT, the large-scale project includes a new terminal and adjoining aircraft hangar. Other improvements include a new waiting area, concessionaire tenant spaces, rental car lease space and a connected 20,000-square-foot hangar. A new lobby will display classic cars from the Saratoga Automobile Museum. There will also be a restaurant and exhibit area upstairs.

Greenfield Center Man Sentenced In DWI Crash

A Greenfield Center man was sentenced on Tuesday to 1 to 3 years in prison for driving a U-Haul drunk and crashing into a vehicle. 55 year old James McFarland crashed into the back of a municipal worker’s vehicle on Feb. 13, 2023, in Clifton Park, reports WNYT. McFarland’s blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit. McFarland pleaded guilty in March to felony DWI.

Schuylerville Man Pleads Guilty To Stalking Woman With Plane

A Schuylerville man accused of stalking a woman with his plane has pleaded guilty. WNYT reports 65 year old Michael J. Arnold was arrested in October after police said he violated an order of protection that prohibited him from contacting a woman that he had been accused of stalking. Arnold had sent messages from a fake Facebook account to the woman.

Report: Sex Harrassment Claim Filed Against HVCC President

Sources tell WNYT that a sexual harassment claim against the president of Hudson Valley Community College has been filed with the college’s human resources office. Sources say the claim was filed against President Roger Ramsammy by a school employee. Sources also say the HVCC employee who filed the sexual harassment claim against the president is not on campus while the investigation continues.

Community Mourns SSHS Student’s Death

The greater Saratoga Springs community is mourning the sudden death of a Saratoga Springs High School student, who was also a first responder. The Daily Gazette reports Anthony “AJ” Stefanacci, 17, died unexpectedly Friday, a little more than a week before his 18th birthday. He was a senior at Saratoga Springs High School.

Saratoga Count Family Claims Contractor Scam

A family in Saratoga County is claiming they’ve been scammed by their contractor, which they’ve paid nearly $100,000 to finish fixing up their home. WRGB reports the Hoyt family’s home in Greenfield Center has been in disrepair for nearly 15 months after it was damaged in a fire back in December 2022, and they claim they gave Custom Cuts Building and Remodeling 95% of the total cost up front.
