According to WNYT, IT comes after an uproar over Democrats in the New York State Legislature introducing a bill Friday that would delay the special election for New York’s 21st Congressional District until the election this November.
DC Men Admit Guilt In Saratoga Store Smash And Grab
Two people from Washington, D.C. admitted on Monday to a smash-and-grab robbery of a Saratoga Springs store last summer. WNYT reports Jowan A. Plummer, 24, and Mustafa Lewis-Hampton, 22, pleaded guilty in Saratoga County Court to burglary charges. Both men smashed the front window of Lola Saratoga on Broadway and stole thousands of dollars worth of luxury handbags. Police found the two suspects in a Clifton Park neighborhood and arrested them.
Tens Of Thousands Turn Out For Chowderfest
Tens of thousands braved the cold and lined the streets of the Spa City for the 26th annual Chowderfest Saturday. WRGB reports for the past few years, Ribbon Cafe has been on the podium serving in between 500 to 750 bowls. Ribbon Cafe joined the podium once again- alongside Bentley’s Tavern, the Mill on Round Lake, the Wild Horse, Henry Street Taproom, and Wheatfields.
Portrat Unveiled Honoring Murphy
A portrait was unveiled in Saratoga County Friday in honor of former Saratoga County Judge Jim Murphy.
Murphy retired from the bench to join a communications firm. He had spent 36 years in the criminal justice system. According to WNYT, the portrait will now be permanently placed in Saratoga Springs County Court.
Man Charged In Shots Fired Incident At Saratoga Springs Police Station
The Saratoga Springs Police Department says 76-year-old Paul Trinci of Malta has been charged Saturday morning following a shots-fired incident that happened at their police station Friday night. WNYT reports police say Trinci was arrested after a police pursuit that ended in the Town of Malta. There were no injuries from the incident. Trinci was arraigned in Saratoga Springs City Court Saturday morning.
Corinth Man Charged With Harassment, Criminal Mischief
25-year-old Alajhed J. Carl of Corinth was arrested on Saturday by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office following investigation into a domestic call. According to WNYT, authorities say they responded to Seventh Street in Corinth around 3:52 a.m. Saturday. Investigation into the complaint led to Carl’s arrest, which he is accused of intentionally damaging property of another person.

Shots fired at police station
Saratoga Police confirmed nobody was struck or injured when the shots were fired. They reported Lake Avenue is closed from Maple Avenue to Broadway. Maple Avenue is closed from Ellsworth Jones Place to Lake Avenue.
Person of interest arrested
A person of interest is in custody in Saratoga County Friday evening has ended, after a pursuit from Saratoga Springs to Malta. According to the Saratoga Springs Police Department, gunshots were fired at their Lake Avenue Station Friday evening, followed by a pursuit.
Police identify accident victim
Police have identified the man killed in a crash in Saratoga County on Monday near State Route 67 and West Line Road. Evan M. Kvinlaug, 21, of Albany, was driving south on West Line Road in Charlton in his pickup truck. State Police said he went through the intersection at Route 67 and was struck by a westbound tractor-trailer. Kvinlaug was thrown from the truck and pronounced dead at the scene.
