The Residences at the Adelphi Hotel recently celebrated its grand opening.
Nearly half of the 79 apartments are now sold. The new development complements the rich history of the hotel, established in 1877, with 21st century amenities.

Police Release Photos Of Suspects In Saratoga Vehicle Thefts

Saratoga Springs Police have released eight photos of possible suspects in a string of thefts from vehicles. According to WNYT, the thieves have targeted neighborhoods in and around Ingersoll and Old Schuylerville roads. They stole wallets and cash and sometimes went into unlocked garages. Saratoga Springs Police Seize Drugs, Make Arrest Wednesday

Saratoga Springs Police seized over 5 ounces of cocaine, some containing fentanyl, and arrested a city man on Wednesday morning. WNYT reports officers used K-9s to help them searched a residence on Caroline Street. and arrested 55 year old John J. Campanella, charging him eith criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Saratoga PD Probes Car Break Ins

Saratoga Springs Police are looking into several larcenies from cars near Ingersoll Road, Old Schuylerville Road, Ruggles Road, and Loudon Road. Police said some suspects went into the victim’s garages overnight. Monday. WTEN reports police are asking the public to assist in the investigation by sharing any security footage from their homes from Tuesday between midnight and 5 a.m.

Narcan Training In Saratoga County

Saratoga County offered free Narcan training to the public on Tuesday. Officials said the countywide training is necessary to address the increasing number of overdoses. According to WTEN, the department held Narcan training at 19 locations last year. This year, the county expanded and offered it at 29 locations.

Monahan To File Appeal To Conviction In Gillis Shooting Death

Kevin Monahan intends to file an appeal in his criminal conviction for the shooting death of Kaylin Gillis at his Washington County home last year, according to court records. WRGB reports a notice of appeal was filed last week with the New York State Supreme Court. An attorney for Monahan confirmed that the appeal is coming.

Saratoga Candlelight Vigil For Overdose Awareness Day

A candlelight vigil will be held at the Spirit of Life fountain in Congress Park in recognition of International Overdose Awareness Day. The event, scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 28, will begin at 7 p.m. WTEN reports the annual event is held by Healing Springs Recovery Community Center, the Prevention Council of Saratoga County and Recovery Advocacy in Saratoga (RAIS).

Albany County Lawmakers Want Fired Airport Official’s Contract Renewed

There is controversy over the decision to fire Albany International Airport CEO Phil Calderone. The airport board of directors told Calderone earlier this month that they would not be extending his contract. WNYT repoorts a group of 16 Albany County legislators have now written a letter to the airport authority, urging the authority to renew Calderone’s contract.

Collection Boxes To Help Fight Homelessness In Saratoga County

Six collection boxes will be placed throughout downtown Saratoga Springs as a way for people to donate to Shelters of Saratoga and RISE Housing & Support Services to aid the unhoused community and combat panhandling. According to the Daily Gazette, Public Safety Commissioner Tim Coll announced in a press release that the first box was to be installed Friday morning in front of Roohan Realty at 519 Broadway.

Financial Company CEO Facing Legal Claims From Creditors

A former CEO of a financial company could be facing more than $200 million in legal claims from former clients and creditors. WNYT reports Kris Roglieri had served as CEO of Prime Capital Ventures. He was arrested in May and charged with wire fraud. The Times Union reports that he could be hit with hundreds of millions of dollars in claims.
