The National Weather Service said they rely on volunteers during winter storms. Without people reporting the totals, they said there’s no way for them to know how much it has snowed in different parts of the area,
Ballston Spa man gets 25 years after killing neighbor
A Ballston Spa man was sentenced to 25 years in prison for beating his neighbor with a baseball bat in 2022, which eventually caused the man’s death. Pharrin Greene, 47, broke down the front door of his downstairs neighbor, 67-year-old Bernard Rodgers, on March 12, 2022, and struck him multiple times with the bat. Rodgers had severe head injuries and died from his injuries 5 months later.
Glens Falls woman charged with diu and drugs
Monika Juliano, 57, of Glens Falls, was under the influence of drugs said police, when she struck and seriously injured the bicyclist, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. There was a child in the vehicle, according to police. Juliano was charged with vehicular assault, aggravated driving while intoxicated, and driving while ability impaired by drugs.

Leaders in the Spa City have been attempting to curb the expanding short-term rental market for more than a year. Commissioner of Accounts Dillon Moran charged with release false information
Saratoga Springs Commissioner of Accounts Dillon Moran has been charged with three noncriminal complaints alleging that on three separate dates in February, March and May of this year, he issued false sworn certifications in response to Freedom of Information Law requests. The Saratoga Springs City Court clerk said that the commissioner is expected to appear to answer the charges on Dec. 19.

Cause Revealed In Deadly Waterford Fire
A “portable heating appliance” is being blamed for a fatal fire in Waterford early Wednesday morning, according to fire investigators. According to WNYT, one person died and six people were taken to the hospital after a fire that broke out around 3:45 a.m. in a building at 54 Broad St. in Waterford. There were two apartments above Bill’s Card Shaq.
