Queensbury Couple Charged In Wilton Walmart Theft

A Queensbury couple are accused of stealing from the Wilton Walmart. WNYT reports Kevin R. Abrams, 55, and Wendy L. Abrams, 48, allegedly stole property worth more than $1,000. Both were charged with grand larceny. Wendy Abrams is also facing a burglary charge because she had previously been notified that she was banned from the store.

Burnt Hills Man Charged With Throwing Vase Through Home’s Window

A Burnt Hills man is accused of throwing a vase through a window. WNYT reports deputies responded to a report of a burglary on Lake Hill Road in the town of Ballston on Dec, 9 around 10:40 p.m. Horace R. Horton, allegedly threw the vase and damaged a television inside the home in addition to the window. Horton was charged with one felony count and one misdemeanor count of criminal mischief.

Ballston Spa Man Accused Of Assaulting Police Officers

A Ballston Spa man is accused of attempting to flee police and assaulting two officers following trying to get inside a dwelling on Grove Street. WTEN reports the Ballston Spa Police Department said Tyrone Myette, 38, also had 206 grams of crystal methamphetamine and over 18 grams of cocaine.

Boil Water Order Lifted In Whitehall

Officials from the Village of Whitehall say the boil water order has been lifted, effective as of 12 p.m. Sunday. WNYT reports water testing within the drinking water system over the last two days has resulted in the lifting of the boil water order. Officials say residents can return to consumptive use of water, however anyone with medical ailments or compromised immune systems should follow their doctor’s orders.

Two Glens Falls natives have created a new children’s book about a local Christmas tree’s journey from Queensbury to the Big Apple. “The 91st Tree from Queensbury” was writtiden by Mary Jean DeSantis and illustrated by Anthony Richichi. It tells the story of the 2022 Rockefeller Christmas tree from its roots in Queensbury to Rockefeller Center. The duo sa they are on a mission to preserve a piece of its history with this story book

Lake George man dead after being struck by car

One person has died after being struck by a car. The collision took place around 8 p.m. Thursday on Route 9 in front of the Lake George Outlets. Police said a car and a bicycle collided. The bicyclist was fatally injured. Their identity has not been released as police work to notify next of kin. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Lake George Orchestra performs at Strand Theatre

The Lake George Community Band is getting into the holiday spirit with a holiday-themed concert at The Strand Theatre on Sunday, December 15.
