State Police of Saratoga arrested a 16-year-old and two 17-year-old adolescent offenders for fifteen counts of Criminal Mischief. On August 29, 2022, Troopers responded to the reports of 14 vehicles damaged in the towns of Schuylerville, NY, and Victory Mills, NY, along with damage to the Village of Schuylerville Visitors Center located in Schuyler’s Canal Park. An investigation determined that the juveniles were responsible for the damages. All suspects were processed at SP Saratoga and issued appearance tickets returnable to the Saratoga County Youth Court on a later date.
Suspect Sought In Stabbing Behind Saratoga Bar
Police in Saratoga Springs are looking for anyone who was in the vicinity of the bar Nashville of Saratoga early Sunday morning. Police say a stabbing happened behind the place, in the parking lot of the public library. The victim was taken to the hospital. No word on a suspect.
Vandals Damage Vehicles In Saratoga County
An apparent vandalism spree under investigation in Saratoga County. WNYT reports a number of posts went up on Facebook over the weekend from people whose cars were damaged; windows smashed out using concrete paving blocks. Police say it happened in the villages of Schuylerville and Victory Mills, and the Fort Hardy Park area early Sunday morning.
Six Injured In Albany Shooting Incident
Albany police are investigating a shooting incident early Sunday morning that left six people in total, shot. At around 3:00 a.m., officers were clearing a large unruly crowd on Hudson Avenue when they heard several shots being fired over on Hamilton Street near Ontario Street and responded to that location. They discovered five victims at the scene who sustained gunshot wounds. Another victim surfaced later.

A Saratoga Springs company has made a prestigious list of fastest growing companies for the second year in a row. WNYT reports Peregrine Market Access is a leading consulting, communications and commercialization partner for the life-sciences industry. Peregrine has three-year growth of 866% and comes in at number 710 on the list compiled by Inc. Magazine.
14 Year Old Dead After Troy Shooting
The 14-year-old boy who was shot late Saturday night in Troy has died. WNYT reports it happened at around 11:30 p.m. when the boy was found at 151 6th Avenue in Troy with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. Authorities are withholding the victim’s identity until all appropriate personnel are notified.
SPAC Getting New Residency This Fall
– On Thursday, Saratoga Performing Arts Center announced a new year-round residency coming this fall. A new wave of chamber music is set to come to the SPAC stage. WTEN reports the performers in question make up the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, based at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City. The society will take up year-round residence at SPAC starting this fall, with a first performance slated for Oct. 15.
Fertilizer Plant To Be Built In Moreau
A fertilizer plant in Saratoga County will be making it’s home location in the town of Moreau. WNYT reports Saratoga Biochar Solutions wants to build a $29 million carbon fertilizer plant off Bluebird Road in the Moreau Industrial Park. It would convert wood waste and human waste into carbon-rich fertilizer.
Saratoga Springs PD Ready For Travers Crowds
Saratoga is expecting more people than ever before for this weekend’s Travers Stake and city police department is taking steps to address public safety concerns ahead of the mid-summer derby. There are seven brand new patrol officers that recently graduated the police academy and ther are also two equine officers, and an additional canine officer this year to address safety concerns.
Albany Man Sentenced In Motel Murder
An Albany man was sentenced Wednesday for his role in a murder last year. According to WNYT, Serieon Bankston received 19 years in prison and five years of post-release supervision connected to the shooting death of Shawn Terry at the Red Carpet Inn on Northern Boulevard in Albany last September. He pleaded guilty in June to first-degree manslaughter.
