Man charged with manslaughter for killing Elvis impersonator
A man was indicted Thursday morning in Saratoga County for killing TJ Krider, a beloved Elvis impersonator. Ronald Rayher was charged with manslaughter and tampering with physical evidence. He is accused of tying up Krider and giving him chloroform multiple times. Rayher is free on bail. The trial date is February 10.

Queensbury Man Allegedly Held Knife To Person’s Throat
A Queensbury man is accused of holding a knife to a person’s throat. State Police said 57 year old John W. Janos was arguing with the victim, when he grabbed the knife. The person was not injured. WNYT reports
Janos is also accused of violating an order of protection.
One Pulled From Wednesday Rollover Wreck In Queensbury
One person was pulled from a tractor-trailer wreck in Queensbury, Wednesday. It happened on the Northway between Exits 19 and 20. WNYT reports departments from Queensbury and West Glens Falls helped with the rescue, along with the Warren County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police. It took 45 minutes to get the victim out, investigators said.
Man Indicted In Death Of Elvis Impersonator
The man accused of killing TJ Krider, an Elvis impersonator, has been indicted on charges of second-degree manslaughter and tampering with physical evidence. WNYT reports 70 year old Ronald Rayher of Milton, is accused tying up Krider at a home in Milton. He is also accused of giving Krider chloroform multiple times.
Glens Falls Parking Property Purchase Falls Short
A resolution authorizing the purchase of 28 Maple St. in Glens Falls for $1.2 million did not pass at the Common Council meeting this week after people balked at the idea of the city purchasing taxable property without guarantees that the city would sell the property for development. The Post Star reports the property was supposed to be used for parking for both city and library employees and “economic development.”
Former Saratoga DPW Commissioner Dies
Tom McTygue, who served as DPW commissioner of Saratoga Springs for 32 years, has died.
According to a Facebook post from his daughter, he died peacefully surrounded by his family. WTEN reports in the 1980s, when Saratoga’s Congress Park carousel was set to be removed from Saratoga Lake and destroyed, Tom Mctygue and his brother helped save the iconic ponies and relocate them to the Spa City.
