A Saratoga County man is charged with sexual abuse against four kids. Acording to WNYT, 56 year old Crim Trerise of Middle Grove was as sent to the Saratoga County Jail in lieu of bail. He’s due back in court in August. Investigators say the alleged abuse happened between 2015 and 2017. They say three of the kids were younger than 13, and one was younger than 14.

It turns out, based on annual paid attendance, the Saratoga Race Course draws more people every year than the Knicks, the Nets, the Islanders, the Rangers, and the Buffalo Bills. WNYT reports the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce crunched the numbers for the 40 days of racing at Saratoga, comparing attendance to 41 games each for the Knicks, Nets, Islanders and Rangers, and eight home games for the Bills.
At Least 20 Left Homeless In Clifton Park Apartment Complex Fire
Update on that Clifton Park apartment complex fire we told you about from Monday. Authorities say at least 20 people are without a place to live, after a large fire tore through the Mohawk Terrace Apartments. There were 24 units in the building. Twenty-two of them were occupied. All got out safely. No word still on a cause.
Moreau Man Sentenced In Neighbor’s Shooting
He walked free for three and a half years after he was sentenced for shooting his neighbor. Now a Moreau man is finally heading to prison. WNYT reports 29 year old Joey Castro was sentenced back in December 2018 for firing eight shots from an assault rifle into Mike Desnoyers’ garage. One of the bullets went through Desnoyers’ spine, leaving him confined to a wheelchair.
Bomb Threat Monday At Skidmore College
Saratoga Springs police are investigating after a bomb threat at Skidmore College shut down the Case Center on campus for some of Monday afternoon. There was a call made about a possible explosive device on campus and those who were in the student activity center were evacuated as a search was conducted. Nothing was found.
Firecracker 4 Road Race In Saratoga
The “Firecracker 4” road race hit the streets of Saratoga Springs Monday morning. Nearly 3,000 runners took part this year while spectators got to enjoy live music along the course. The race and the festivities alongside it wrapped up late afternoon.
Fire At Clifton Park Fire Department
A fire broke out Monday afternoon at a big living space in Clifton Park. According to WNYT, it happened at the Mohawk Terrace Apartments on Crescent Vischer Ferry Road and fire crews managed to contain the flames to just one building. No word on injuries and the investigation into a cause continues.

Swatting Incident Outside Saratoga Under Investigation
Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to a home on North Milton Road just outside Saratoga for what police said was a swatting incident. Swatting is when a prank call is made in an attempt to bring a large number of police officers to a specific location. WTEN reports the area was blocked off until it was confirmed as a swatting incident. Police said there is no emergency and no threat to the public. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
Saratoga County Launches New Marketing Campaign
Saratoga County is out with new branding and marketing, called“America’s Turning Point, ”referring to the roles it played in the American Revolution. According to WNYT, a commission has been set up that’s planning big events over the next few years, leading up to 2027 and the 250th anniversary of the Battles of Saratoga and the British surrender.
