Ballston Spa Concerts In The Park

The Ballston Spa Business & Professional Association has announced the 2023 Ballston Spa Concerts in the Park lineup. The free concerts run every Thursday between June 29 and August 24 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Old Iron Spring Park. The first three shows in the lineup: June 29: Ballston Spa Community Band, July 6 : The North & South Dakotas and July 13: The Protones.

Two Troy Men Found Guilty Of Murder

Two Troy men were convicted of killing another man in 2020. Nashone Pinn, 23, and Eric Stroud, Jr., 20, were found guilty of Murder and Criminal Possession of a Weapon. WTEN reports officials said they killed Zeandre Domingo in August 2020. Their convictions are part of the Gun Involved Violence Elimination cases being pursued by the Rensselaer County District Attorney’s Office.

Philly Man Arrested In Moreau On Gun, Drug Charges

State Police of Wilton arrested Jonathan A. Williams, 35, of Philadelphia, PA, for Criminal Possession of a Weapon, drug possession and Resisting Arrest. Early Tuesday, Troopers stopped a vehicle on I-87 in Moreau, during which it was discovered Williams was in possession of felony-weight narcotics and an illegal possessed loaded handgun. Williams resisted arrest but was taken into custody following a brief struggle.

Saratoga Man Draws 78 Year Prison Stint

A Saratoga man will spend 78 years to life in prison for predatory sexual assaults and rapes against children. WNYT reports Nathaniel Bradford was sentenced Tuesday in Saratoga County Court. He was convicted back in February of nine charges relating to the repeated sexual abuse of two victims younger than 18 over several years.

Stefanik Announces Bid For Sixth Term

Congresswoman Elise Stefanik is running for a sixth term in office. In an announcement shared early Tuesday, Stefanik said she’s proud to have the universal support of the 21st Congressional District’s Republican and Conservative party committees, and the state leadership. Adirondack Daily Enterprise reports she’s also raised a significant sum of money even before formally announcing her bid, bringing in $3 million in the last reporting quarter according to her campaign.

Two Charged With Drug Counts In Malta

On Sunday afternoon, the State Police of Saratoga arrested two individuals in the parking lot of Home2 Suites in Malta.
Police observed a glass smoking device containing drug residue in the car and both individuals were found to possess multiple Controlled Substances. Erica T. Fredette, 31, of North Creek, and Philip M. Horowitz, 35, of Clifton Park, face charges in the incident.

VT Man Charged In Saratoga County Thefts

A Vermont man is facing grand larceny charges after more than one theft was reported last month in Saratoga County. According to WNYT, Bowie Bouchard, of Vermont, is in Saratoga County jail.
State police say he’s accused of stealing more than $1,000 worth of merchandise from a Lowe’s in Wilton on March 8.
He’s also accused of a theft of more than $1,000, at a Clifton Park Kohl’s the day before the second theft.

Tesla Supercharger At Malta Stewart’s

A Stewart’s Shop in Saratoga County is now equipped with Tesla superchargers that can charge both Tesla and non-Tesla vehicles. WNYT rpeorts the supercharger is at the Stewart’s on Route 9 in Malta, right off Exit 13N of the Northway.
There are only a few locations in the United States where you can access this type of charger.
This shop is equipped with eight superchargers that are available 24/7 and charge up to 250 kilowatts.

New Evening Marketplace Opening In Saratoga

An evening marketplace in Saratoga Springs launches later this month. WNYT reports The Saratoga Night Market quietly began over the winter, with a focus on female-developed products and businesses. The night market will be open on Friday and Saturday nights in April – starting on April 14. It will continue on select nights in May, June and July.
