Multiple crews responded to a structure fire in Clifton Park Wednesday night. It took place on Farm to Market Road. WTEN reports officials said the house was abandoned, so their focus is on containing the fire.
Crews are unsure if the building will be salvageable. No word on a cause.

Queensbury Man Cuffed For Stealing From Walmart
Police have arrested a Queensbury man for allegedly stealing from Walmart after he had been banned for similar incidents. WNYT reports 51 year old Daniel O. Rawson allegedly stole from the store in Wilton on Aug. 2.
Rawson was charged with burglary and petit larceny. He was arraigned in Wilton Town Court and sent to Saratoga County Jail.
Man Accused Of Pointing Gun In Wilton
An Albany County man is accused of pointing a handgun at a person in the town of Wilton. 24 year old Wayne D. Miller allegedly got into an argument with a person he knew in the area of Heritage Way and showed the weapon. He left the location in a vehicle before police arrived, but was caught along Sitterly Road in Clifton Park.
Man Dies In Police Involved Shooting In Malta
One person has died in a police-involved shooting in Saratoga County. According to WNYT, it started around 4 p.m. Wednesday, as police searched for a man who threatened to hurt himself. That man, 48 year old James Dellea of Hillsdale was found in the parking lot of the Albany – Saratoga Speedway on State Route 9 in Malta. The man displayed refused to leave his car and when he displayed a weapon, a trooper shot Dellea, killing him.
Summer Workforce Honored At Six Flags Great Escape
Warren County Department of Workforce Development’s third annual Tourism Summer Workforce Celebration drew nearly 350 people from more than 50 local businesses to Six Flags Great Escape and Hurricane Harbor on Monday night for a free night at the amusement park. Donations and $5 ticket sales for those who wanted to bring a guest raised about $1,000 for Family Services Association of Glens Falls.

Over 100 people have donated so far to a GoFundMe set up to help cover the funeral and other unexpected costs for the family of Ballston Spa Athletic Director Dave Sunkes following his death Saturday. The Daily Gazette reports the GoFundMe has already raised over $13,000 of its $30,000 goal, as of 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Shenendehowa Will End Use of Plainsmen Nickname
The Shenendehowa Board of Education voted on a proposal Tuesday to end the use of the Plainsmen nickname. WTEN reports the district had already changed its mascot from an Indigenous person to a horse before New York State officials required all public schools to eliminate mascots and team names with Native American imagery. The district previously argued the name is a reference to the land patent that the Shen campus was built on.
Glens Falls PD Issues Advisory After Weekend Overdoses
A public health alert has been issued by the Glens Falls Police Department following a series of overdoses that occurred over the weekend. WRGB reports first responders were called to three overdoses over the weekend where officers found the same packaging related to the narcotics at each scene.
