A Saratoga man has been charged in a bank robbery Wednesday, police said. 18 year old Christian M. Aquino was charged with first-degree robbery and second-degree grand larceny. The incident happened just after 4 p.m. Wednesday as police received a hold up alarm from the Trustco Bank at 1 Johnson Road in Latham.

Saratoga County Board of Elections is increasing its extended hours for early voting amidst high voter turnout. All locations will be open from 8AM to 5PM on Friday, November 1st, Saturday, November 2nd, and Sunday November 3rd. The locations remain the same.

The 26th Annual LITE UP the Village will return to Lake George Saturday, Nov. 30. The holiday event brings five hours of festive fun to Shepard Park sponsored by the village and town of Lake George. Bolton Woman Faces Charges In Lake George Crash
A Bolton woman is facing a slew of serious charges after fleeing the scene of a motor vehicle accident. Sun Community News reports on Oct. 30 at about 10 a.m., Warren County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to Lake Shore Drive in the Town of Lake George to investigate the report of a motor vehicle accident involving property damage. The female driver had reportedly already fled the scene on foot. Police say 39 year old Virginia Jakway had allegedly taken a vehicle from the residence of a man she knew without his permission
Fundraising Efforts For Ballston Spa Family After House Fire
Money is being raised to aid Barbara and Paul Whalen, along with five other adults and three children — ages 8, 3 and six weeks old, following a fire at the Whalen’s West North Street home in Ballston Spa Tuesday morning.The Daily Gazette reports crews arrived at 181 West North Street home in Ballston Spa Tuesday morning. The family was all accounted for. They’re being helped by the Red Cross now.
Two Greenfield Residents Face Drug Charges
Two people from Greenfield were arrested on Saturday following a drug investigation Jason Allen, 45, and Courtney Gilboy, 27, are facing several felony charges. WTEN reports Allen and Gilboy are accused of having a variety of stimulants and narcotics, including nearly one ounce of cocaine and several grams of heroin, in addition to a digital scale.

Milton Man Found Guilty For Injuring Infant Son
A Milton man has been found guilty of hitting and severely injuring his 3-month-old son. WNYT reports 21 year old Jacob Krall was convicted of one count of assault and one count of endangering the welfare of a child, after a two-week trial. He was found not guilty of a separate count of endangering the welfare of a child.
New Saratoga Spa State Park Playground Opens
The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) has opened a newly renovated and accessible playground at Saratoga Spa State Park, enhancing inclusivity for the visitors of all ages and abilities. The project, which also includes a new pedestrian bridge, adds to the park’s recently completed 3.2 mile paved trial loop.
Early Voting Draws Long Lines In Saratoga County
Early voting is turning out to be a popular option for many. WRGB reports in Saratoga County, election officials say more than 18,000 voted early– that’s roughly 10-percent of registered voters in the county casting their ballots in the first four days of early voting.
