WNYT reports Peregrine Market Access is a leading consulting, communications and commercialization partner for the life-sciences industry. Peregrine has three-year growth of 866% and comes in at number 710 on the list compiled by Inc. Magazine.

14 Year Old Dead After Troy Shooting
The 14-year-old boy who was shot late Saturday night in Troy has died. WNYT reports it happened at around 11:30 p.m. when the boy was found at 151 6th Avenue in Troy with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. Authorities are withholding the victim’s identity until all appropriate personnel are notified.
SPAC Getting New Residency This Fall
– On Thursday, Saratoga Performing Arts Center announced a new year-round residency coming this fall. A new wave of chamber music is set to come to the SPAC stage. WTEN reports the performers in question make up the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, based at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City. The society will take up year-round residence at SPAC starting this fall, with a first performance slated for Oct. 15.
Fertilizer Plant To Be Built In Moreau
A fertilizer plant in Saratoga County will be making it’s home location in the town of Moreau. WNYT reports Saratoga Biochar Solutions wants to build a $29 million carbon fertilizer plant off Bluebird Road in the Moreau Industrial Park. It would convert wood waste and human waste into carbon-rich fertilizer.

Saratoga is expecting more people than ever before for this weekend’s Travers Stake and city police department is taking steps to address public safety concerns ahead of the mid-summer derby. There are seven brand new patrol officers that recently graduated the police academy and ther are also two equine officers, and an additional canine officer this year to address safety concerns.
Albany Man Sentenced In Motel Murder
An Albany man was sentenced Wednesday for his role in a murder last year. According to WNYT, Serieon Bankston received 19 years in prison and five years of post-release supervision connected to the shooting death of Shawn Terry at the Red Carpet Inn on Northern Boulevard in Albany last September. He pleaded guilty in June to first-degree manslaughter.
Castelli Defeats Purporti To Take On Stefanik In November
Democrat Matt Castelli, a Glens Falls native, has declared victory in a battle to take on Rep. Elise Stefanik in the general election. According to WNYT, he was running against fellow Democrat Matt Purtorti. Both candidates in this race made it a point to not target each other, and rather both target Stefanik.
Tonko Beats Primary Opponent
Incumbent Rep. Paul Tonko beat immigration attorney Rostislav Rar in the Democratic primary. WNYT reports Tonko now goes up against Republican Liz Joy, who Tonko defeated two years ago.
New EV Chargers At Milton Town Hall
Ten new electric vehicle chargers are available in the parking lot of Milton Town Hall. Town hall is located at 503 Geyser Rd. WTEN reports drivers will pay 15 cents per kilowatt as town officials try to make it easier for community members to buy electric vehicles as they deal with high gas prices and climate change concerns.
Huge Apartment Complex Fire Displaces Dozens In Troy
It appears 41 apartments were lost in a fire at Valley Green Apartments in Troy over the weekend. The complex is near Hudson Valley Community College and many of the more than 30 people people displaced, take classes there.
Troy’s fire chief says there’s a lot of fire and smoke damage, but he doesn’t think the building will need to come down.
