Update on a story we told you about earlier. Mechanicville Police are investigating a car crash that left an officer with minor injuries. It happened on South Central Avenue at about 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday. WTEN reports the police officer was taken to the hospital for evaluation. The other driver involved in the crash was the sole person in the car and was not injured.

Stewart’s Shops Begins Holiday Match Program
Stewart’s Shops started its holiday match program on Thursday. WTEN reports for the 38th year, Stewart’s will match all donations made at their 360 shops across Upstate New York and western Vermont. The campaign runs through Christmas Day. The money benefits local charities.
Christopher Dailey Foundation Turkey Trot in Saratoga
Runners braved the cold and snow to take part in the Christopher Dailey Foundation Turkey Trot in Saratoga Springs. Around 3,800 people had signed up to participate, which organizers said was the biggest turnout in its 23-year history. WNYT reports the event raised money for the nonprofit, which has supported sports and other children’s activities throughout Saratoga County.
Complaints Lead To Arrest Of Saratoga Man On Drug Charges
A Saratoga Springs man was arrested Tuesday following an “extensive investigation triggered by numerous complaints. WRGB reports police executed a search warrant at a residence on East Harrison Street, leading to the arrest of 39 year old Michael Rosebrook of Saratoga, whom police say was found in possession of fentanyl and crack cocaine at the time of his arrest.
Mechanicville Police Cruiser Crashes
A Mechanicville Police cruiser crashed on South Central Avenue Wednesday night, near the Lucky’s Wine & Spirit store. WRGB reports the road was temporarily closed down to traffic while crews cleaned up.

Man Arrested For Drug Possession, Sale In Warren County
The Warren County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Fort Edward man on Wednesday for allegedly possessing and selling cocaine. 43 year old orge L. Lopez is facing multiple charges. Deputies said Lopez sold cocaine to police on several occasions during controlled drug buy operations. Lopez was arraigned in Warren County Court and remains in Warren County Jail.
Paying It Forward In Saratoga County
A family from Saratoga County is looking to pay it forward. WNYT reports it centers around the little girl who was kidnapped from Moreau Lake State Park in 2023. The charity Kelly’s Angels contacted her family. Kelly’s Angels wanted to send them on an expenses-paid stay at the Six Flags Waterpark. Trisha Sena, instead, wanted to offer the offer to the young daughter of the man who kidnapped their daughter.
Bomb Threat On Stefanik’s Saratoga County Home
Rep. Elise Stefanik’s home in Saratoga County was the target of a bomb threat. WNYT reports the threat was made Wednesday morning, her office said. Stefanik, a Republican, was on her way home from Washington for Thanksgiving at the time. Her husband and 3-year-old son were with her. State Police, U.S. Capitol Police and county law enforcement responded to the scene and were investigating.
Golub Pleads Not Guilty To Official Misconduct
The lawyer for a former Saratoga Springs official claimed Tuesday that another elected official was “intimately involved” in the investigation that led to criminal charges against his client. The Daily Gazette reports
Attorney Karl Sleight, who is representing former Public Works Commissioner Jason Golub, said he is requesting information from Public Safety Commissioner Tim Coll’s personal and work cellphones as part of the case alleging Golub accepted repair work on his home last December by city employees on city time. Golub pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor official misconduct in city court on Tuesday.
Lake George Man Dies In Queensbury Crash
A Lake George man has died after a one-car crash in Queensbury. The Warren County Sheriff’s Office said 38-year-old James Mitchell was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash happened over the weekend along Route 9L near the Ridge Terrace Restaurant. Multiple fire departments responded to put out a car fire. Mitchell was found dead inside the car, said the Sheriff’s Office.
