The Residences at the Adelphi Hotel in Saratoga Springs is coming later this year. WRGB reports the $75 million development will include 79 studio, one, two, three bedroom and duplex penthouse condos. Prices range from $675,000 to $4 million.

Accused Moreau Lake State Park Kidnapper’s Trial Set For April
A trial for the man accused of a kidnapping a 9-year-old girl from Moreau Lake State Park last year has been scheduled for April 8. According to WNYT, Craig N. Ross Jr. of Milton, is facing charges that include kidnapping, assault and endangering the welfare of a child. Ross, 46, allegedly abducted the girl from the park on Sept. 30. The girl was found with Ross in a camper behind a trailer home in the town of Milton.
Schuylerville Man Charged With Stalking
A Schuylerville man previously accused of using his plane to stalk a woman has been arrested again. WNYT reports 65 year old Michael J. Arnold allegedly waited for and followed a person who had an order of protection on Jan. 12 at a park. In the latest incidednt, a video provided by the alleged victim, Cassie Wilusz, shows the incident in Fort Hardy Park. A maroon vehicle is seen slowly driving near her vehicle, stopping briefly and then slowly driving away.
Skidmore Athletics Communications Manager Announces Retirement
Longtime Skidmore College senior athletic communications manager Bill Jones has announced his retirement. College officials confirmed this in an announcement on Wednesday afternoon.
Since 1984, Jones has served as the sports information director at Skidmore. During that time, he supported nearly 4,000 student-athletes, five College presidents, and 86 head coaches as well as hundreds of staff, fans, and colleagues on campus and around the country.
Sen. Breslin Says He Won’t Seek Reelection
New York State Sen. Neil Breslin has announced he is not seeking re-election. The lawmaker made the announcement at a meeting of the Albany County Democratic Committee Wednesday night. WTEN reports at the same meeting, democrats announced their support and endorsement for Assemblywoman Patricia Fahy to replace him.
Saratoga Biochar Officials Say Town Board Held Secret Meeting
Saratoga Biochar is calling recent actions by the Moreau Town Board “intimidation and an unlawful pursuit.” According to the Daily Gazette, the company claims lawmakers held a secret meeting and public discussion to consider pausing construction in its industrially zoned areas. Saratoga Biochar is currently awaiting approval by the state Department of Environmental Conservation to build a facility in the Moreau Industrial Park that would manufacture a carbon fertilizer product made from biosolids and wood-waste feedstock.

The Saratoga Springs State of the City was a little different this year as each city official provided an update Tuesday night on where things stand in their respective departments. The Daily Gazette reports city officials took turns underscoring the accomplishments of the various departments they oversee, while also speaking briefly of goals they have for the year ahead.
Long Time Albany Eyesore Slated For Possible Demolition
The Central Warehouse – long a blight on the Albany skyline – may be coming down. WNYT reports Jeff Buell, of Redburn Development Partners, confirmed on Tuesday that its plans to renovate the structure into commercial space on the first floor and apartments above is too costly, and they are seeking to demolish the structure.
Saratoga Police Announce New Community Engagement Officers
Saratoga Springs Public Safety Commissioner Tim Coll and Police Chief Tyler McIntosh recently introduced the Spa City’s new Community Engagement Officers (CEOs). The Saratogian reports Officers Ryan Nicholson and Zachary Ferris are taking over the efforts of previous CEO, Andrew Streim, following his promotion to Sergeant. Ferris and Nicholson will be the primary points of contact for issues, concerns or calls for businesses in the Business District.
