A May 21st court date awaits a Saratoga Springs man arrested a man on drug charges. WNYT reports 37 year old Michael Dzieniszenski allegedly sold narcotics on numerous occasions. The investigation stemmed from complaints of drug activity at Vanderbilt Terrace. He’s charged with a felony count and misdemeanor count of criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a narcotic drug.

Saratoga Accounts Commish Moving Ahead With STR Legislation
Saratoga Springs Accounts Commissioner Dillon Moran is pushing ahead with plans to regulate short-term rentals in the Spa City even as legislation at the state level was omitted from the recently passed state budget. According to the Daily Gazette,
Moran said this week that the state’s legislation changes nothing for Saratoga Springs and that the law is currently being drafted by the city’s law firm.
Big Truck Day In Saratoga Saturday
The Children’s Museum at Saratoga is hosting its annual fundraiser, Big Truck Day, May 4 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., offering. “an exciting and educational experience for families while supporting children’s education initiatives.” In addition to the rigs, there will be truck tours, children’s activities, food vendors, and more. Proceeds from Big Truck Day will directly benefit the Children’s Museum’s educational programs.
Update Info On Saratoga Springs Rite Aid Closure
The Rite Aid location at 155 Ballston Avenue in Saratoga Springs is set to close, as part of the company’s filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last year. WTEN reports an employee at the Saratoga Springs location told them the pharmacy is closing on May 13 but they did not know when the rest of the store would be closing.
2024 X-Files Fan Fest in Saratoga Canceled
The X-Files Preservation Collection and Collectibles museum in Saratoga announced the cancelation of their 2024 X-Files Fan Fest. In a post on social media, organizers said they made the difficult decision to call off what would have been the third annual event. WTEN reports the festival, also known as the XFP Fan Fest, was scheduled for June 28 and 29 at the Saratoga Springs City Center.
Pro-Palestine Protesters March In Saratoga
Pro-Palestine protests are happening nationwide including right here in the Capital Region. WTEN reports on Wednesday, protesters flooded the streets of downtown Saratoga Springs rallying against Israel’s war on Hamas and calling for a ceasefire.
Dozens of protesters gathered at Congress Park to kick off the rally. They then marched down Broadway to city hall.
Headliner Announced For ‘Belmont On Broadway’
Officials in Saratoga celebrated “Belmont on Broadway” on Wednesday, a week-long event that will kick off with a concert on June 5. Blues Traveler was announced as the headlining act for the free, family-friendly concert which will take place on Broadway, reports WTEN. Saratoga Race Course will host the Belmont Stakes, the third leg of the Triple Crown, in just over one month.
