Dylan Calabrese, 26, of Fort Edward, died from his injuries at Glens Falls Hospital. Deputies said around 9:02 p.m., a Duanesburg man was driving west on Quaker Road and tried turning left to continue south on Lafayette Street. He then collided with a 2016 Suzuki motorcycle driven by Calabrese while making the turn.

Two Arrests Following Officer Involved Shooting In South Glens Falls
State Police announced at 9 a.m. Thursday, Billy G. Cassell III was arrested as a result of the investigation into the officer-involved shooting on April 23, 2025, in South Glens Falls. He’s charged with weapons crimes, menacing a police officer and unlawfully fleeing an officer. The vehicle’s passenger was identified as Anthony J. Lebrun, 59, of Hudson Falls, who faces drug possession charges.
Mechanicville Man Cuffed On Child Porn Charges
New York State Police arrested a Mechanicville man last week after a sex crime investigation involving a minor. Kyle Demania, 21, is facing multiple charges. WTEN reports on April 4, State Police received a tip that a Saratoga County man had reportedly been sending inappropriate messages to a child back in March.

Lake George town officials are considering a proposal to establish an arts and cultural center at a high-profile intersection south of the Lake George Village on Route 9. Former Lake George Village Mayor Robert Blais says the center should be developed on the property at the intersection of routes 9 and 9N just south of Lake George Village.
Ballston Spa Contractor Sentenced In Fraud Case
Chad Nichols, a 47-year-old man from Ballston Spa, has been sentenced in absentia to state prison for defrauding a homeowner and failing to complete contracted home improvement projects. WRGB reports
Nichols was hired by a Guilderland homeowner in the spring of 2023 to renovate two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a deck. He began demolition work but never completed any projects, defrauding the homeowner of over $84,000. Nichols, who pleaded guilty on December 2, 2024, did not appear for his sentencing, prompting Judge Marcelle to issue a bench warrant for his arrest.
