Saratoga County is being called as a non-party-factual witness in a defamation lawsuit Dominion Voting Systems has brought against media company Herring Networks. According to the Daily Gazette, the lawsuit stems from allegations that Herring spread misinformation that Dominion committed election fraud following the 2020 presidential election.

Schenectady Police confirmed that a co-founder of Saratoga Black Lives Matter was arrested following an altercation. Lexis Figuereo, 37, was charged with menacing and criminal possession of a weapon, after allegedly pointing a rifle at a person during a dispute.
Mechanicville Man Charged With Driving Drunk With Child In Vehicle
State Police have arrested a Mechanicville man for allegedly driving while drunk with a child in the vehicle. WNYT reports Mark Knickerbocker was stopped by troopers on Saratoga Avenue in Waterford last week for a traffic violation. His blood alcohol level was .09%, and there was a child under the age of 16 in the car, investigators said.
Stop DWI Efforts In Saratoga County For Halloween
Saratoga County Sheriff Michael Zurlo says the Sheriff’s Office and county police agencies will be participating in the statewide ‘Stop DWI Halloween High Visibility Engagement’ campaign on Halloween. According to WNYT,

Teens Charged After Stolen Truck Pursuit Ends In Lake George
Two teens are facing charges after they allegedly led police on a short-lived pursuit that left one officer almost hit by a stolen truck. Warren County Sheriff’s officials said the incident unfolded at 10:40 a.m. Friday, when a deputy spotted a blue Ford F-150 traveling south on Route 9 south of Diamond Point Road. A pursuit ended on Canada Street in the Village of Lake George. The 15-year-old driver and a 17-year-old passenger were taken into custody.
National Museum of Racing
The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame’s sixth annual Photo Finish exhibition will open on November 2 in Saratoga Springs. Photo Finish 2 features selected photos that follow the thoroughbred racing experience from the farm to the exhilaration at the finish of a race. The onsite exhibition will run through February 2, 2025. The exhibit can also be seen online at racingmuseum.org.

The Saratoga-Wilton Elks will host a “Stand Down” for veterans on November 3. From 1 to 4 p.m., the lodge will invite any and all vets looking for help, whether they are seeking networking opportunities, health services, or even a safe place to call home. Organizer, Erwin Dominguez, said this “stand down” is all about the community wrapping their arms around our local vets.
Rollover accident near Clifton Park
New York State Police say one person was seriously injured after a two-car crash on I-87 Northway in Clifton Park last week. The crash happened around 4:41 p.m. Police say one vehicle had overturned in the median of the highway, and the driver had to be extricated from the vehicle. The driver’s injuries are serious, but are not believed to be life-threatening, with no other injuries reported at the scene, said State Police.
Kensington School on lockout
Kensington School in Glens Falls went into lockdown on Tuesday after police were looking for a suspect. Police said they were looking for a person who took off from a sheriff’s patrol in the area of Upper Glen Street. They believed the person may have headed toward Cole’s Woods near the school. During lockout mode, all students remain inside the building and go about their normal classes and activities.
