State Police arrest two people after a traffic stop on the Northway in Clifton Park. 30 year old Luis A. Laboy faces drug possession counts. 29 year old Joel Cruz does as well, along with resisting arrest. Laboy and Cruz were found to be in possession of Cannabis and a large quantity of Cocaine. While being taken into custody for drug possession.
Both were transported to SP Clifton Park for processing. Laboy and Cruz was arraigned before the Clifton Park Town Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Correctional Facility without bail.

State Police of Wilton arrested Latrell C. Pinellas, 35, of Moreau, NY, for Grand Larceny . On September 21, 2022, at about 6:43 p.m., Troopers received a complaint that multiple items valued at over $1,400 were stolen from the Target Distribution Center in Wilton, NY. An investigation determined former employee, Pinellas was responsible for the thefts.

The Duke’s Grove apartment doors were padlocked by police on September 21. WNYT reports Halfmoon officials declared the property uninhabitable on September 13 due to a septic leak, forcing the town to shut off the building’s water supply.
On September 20, residents of Duke’s Grove were told to pack up and leave their residences.

Several fire departments in Saratoga County plan to hold a recruitment event in October called “Firefighter for a Day”. They’ll have multiple stations set up with different jobs; from putting out a car fire to throwing a ladder on a roof to operating the jaws of life, so the public can see the different responsibilities of a volunteer firefighter.

Saratoga Springs Mayor Ron Kim recently announced a pair of appointments — Dennis Kiingati to the City Center Authority and Reverend Michael D. Bell to a two-year term as Chair of the Civilian Review Board. Kiingati owns and co-owns a number of businesses in the City. Reverend Bell is the pastor of Saratoga Spring’s historic Dyer-Phelps Memorial AME Zion Church.

Six people under arrest in Saratoga County, charged with taking part in selling cocaine and crystal meth. WNYT reports police say Terry Fauntleroy of Schenectady was selling cocaine throughout Saratoga County, and Felix Ortega of Wilton was selling crystal meth. A search warrant was issued at two homes on Traver Road in Wilton and arrested Tyanne Carpenter, Melissa Sias, Jerry Falconio and Jonathan Lincoln-Lynch. All are facing drug possession charges.

Police are investigating the death of a woman in Saratoga County. WNYT reports a man who lives on Zani Lane in the town of Ballston said he found his wife – 74-year-old Susan Duglin – in the water in Ballston Lake and she was unresponsive. Duglin apparently fell while looking for her dog. The dog and a leash were found nearby.

A service was held on September 18 in the town of Galway to honor the life of firefighter Chad Jazwinski. WNYT reports the 46 year old tragically passed away last Saturday in a motorcycle accident. Jazwinski was a lifelong resident of Galway and an active member of the Galway volunteer fire company for more than thirty years.

The Saratoga County sheriff’s Office says they have a man in custody, following a stabbing in Clifton Park. WRGB reports Deputies responded to an incident on Huntridge Drive, the Fox Run Apartments, just after 8:00a.m Thursday.
The suspect , Joseph T. Colaccino, 18, was arrested for Assault . The victim was taken to the hospital for treatement.

New York State Police have made an arrest in connection with a June officer-involved shooting in Ballston. 27 year old Joseph Mrozek of Malta, emerged from a home back in June with a shotgun and after ignoring officers’ orders to put it down, an officer fired a shot, wounding him in the upper torso. The arrest came just this week.
