All polling locations throughout New York State are open from 6:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m on November 8th General Election day. If you are in line at 9pm you will be allowed to vote but people who try to get in line after 9pm will not be. Moreau Community Center Holiday Bazaar

The Moreau Community Center will be hosting its 41st annual Holiday Bazaar on Friday, November 18, and Saturday, November 19. The bazaar will last from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. WTEN reports the bazaar will feature over 25 tables and will include raffles, crafters, exhibitors, holiday gifts, food, and more.

Waterford House Fire Leaves One Injured

A fire early Sunday in Waterford left one person hospitalized. WNYT reports firefighters were dispatched to a two-family house fire on Third St. in Waterford at around 3 in the morning where a resident was trapped inside on the 2nd floor. That person was rescued from the second floor after the roof collapsed. That person sustained injuries and was hospitalized. No one else was home at the time of the fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. No other injuries were reported.

Man Sentenced In Saratoga Crash

On Thursday, Troy D. Cassell, Jr., of Schuylerville, NY, was sentenced to 1 1/3 to 4 years in a state correctional facility for a crash that occurred on September 12, 2021. WTEN reports on that date, Cassell, Jr. was driving impaired with a suspended license with a six-year-old child in the backseat and crashed into a ditch in the Town of Saratoga.

Clifton Park Man Arrested After Alleged Knife Threat During Domestic Dispute

State Police of Clifton Park arrested Kyle R. Gemme, 31, of Clifton Park, NY, for Menacing in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon and Harassment. On October 28, 2022, Troopers received a complaint about domestic dispute at a residence in Clifton Park, NY. The investigation determined during a verbal argument, Gemme displayed and threatened the use of a kitchen knife. No one was injured during the incident. Gemme surrendered himself to SP Clifton Park, where he was arrested

Community Feedback Session On School Safety

Parents, educators, and law enforcement in Saratoga County offered feedback Wednesday night on what can be done to improve school safety and security. WRGB reports the Assembly Minority Task Force on School Safety & Security hosted the forum at the Clifton Park-Halfmoon Public at a time when acts of violence in schools are on the rise across the state, including in the Capital Region.

Saratoga Broadway Deli Free Chicken Dinners

Saratoga Broadway Deli says they’re prepared to feed more families than ever before with their third annual free chicken dinner giveaway. No proof of hardship is required to get a free chicken dinner at the Saratoga Broadway Deli. WTEN reports starting this week, orders can be placed on Monday through Friday with pick up on Sunday. The giveaway lasts all November and December.

Man Cops To Arson Counts In Saratoga County

A man who already pleaded guilty to murder has now admitted to arson. Anthony Paradise was in Saratoga County Court Wednesday, to be arraigned on a 2017 arson at a Curtis Lumber in Ballston. Paradise was previously convicted of robbing the Adirondack Trust Bank on Broadway in Saratoga Springs in 2017. WNYT reports while he was in prison in Greene County, he murdered his cellmate.

Two Arrested In Malta Home Break In

State Police arrested Paige M. Norton, 26, of Milton, NY, for Burglary and James F. Hall, Jr., 28, of Milton, NY for Burglary and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance. Troopers responded to a home in Malta, NY, for an active burglary. The investigation determined Norton and Hall Jr. Forced entry into the house, took multiple items, and fled before police arrived.
Norton and Hall Jr. were located in Milton shortly after the incident and arrested. The stolen items were recovered.
