With only two years until the state’s 2027 deadline for schools to begin purchasing only electrified buses, school administrators and industry leaders have told state officials there are still significant challenges to the rollout of bus-fleet electrification. The Daily Gazette reports Shenendehowa Central School District Superintendent L. Oliver Robinson made it clear recently: if the rollout is bumpy and he has to choose how he will get students to school, he will transport them on diesel buses.
