The Moreau Town Board voted to advance a proposal to pause construction in Moreau Industrial Park. The vote comes as discussions continue over plans to build a carbon fertilizer manufacturing facility in the park. WTEN reports it would turn solid waste from sewage plants into a form of fertilizer. Environmental activists have spoken out against the Saratoga Biochar project saying it will release harmful chemicals. But the company said the chemicals are removed first.
