Glens Falls Common Council Votes To Let Firefighter Retire Early

The Glens Falls common council voted in favor of letting Fire Lt. Doug Holl retire early with full benefits. The decision was made on Tuesday night. WNYT reports Holl was diagnosed with Early-Onset Alzheimer’s Disease. He was a firefighter for over 17 years but needed 20 years of service to receive full pension.
His fellow firefighters donated their sick time and vacation hours to get him to that finish line.
