Several hundred Lake George Elementary School students learned about hot-air balloons, their history and ballooning navigation when a pilot participating in the Adirondack Balloon Festival visited the school Sept. 20 with his huge, colorful aircraft. Sun Community News reports hot-air balloon pilot Peter Griswold of Atlanta, Georgia inflated his balloon on the school’s soccer field adjacent to the elementary school and spent nearly two hours giving presentations to elementary classes.
