Results show more than 100 water sources in the Shenendehowa Central School District have levels of lead above state maximum levels. WRGB reports the State Department of Health has set that level at 5 parts per billion (ppb).
While a vast majority of the sources that tested above are sink faucets, at least 17 are fountains, usually used for drinking. In all, at least 114 samples came back with elevated. One sink faucet tested at 1,910 parts per billion.
