Schenectady Police officers remained at 203 Elmer Avenue, after they got a call from a man at about 3 a.m. Sunday about a 5-year-old girl who was not conscious and not breathing. WNYT reports police say it was her father who killed her by depriving her of food and water for days, from April 10 to April 14. Robert Buskey, 33, is now facing charges: one count of manslaughter in the second degree and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
