Saratoga Black Lives Matter co-founder Lexis Figuereo has filed a federal lawsuit against the city of Saratoga Springs, prior officials and up to another 100 other individuals alleging excessive force by police and violations of various civil rights during a protest on July 30, 2020. The Daily Gazette reports Figuerero is seeking compensatory damages of $500,000 collectively and punitive damages of $100,000.
