A Saratoga County man is accused of using a 4-year-old child to produce child pornography. Eric Mosier, 37, of Galway, had the child engage in sexually explicit conduct for the creation of child sexual abuse material in March and May of this year, reports WNYT. Mosier was charged with sexual exploitation of a child.
Ballston Spa Man Facing DWI Charges
A Ballston Lake man is accused of driving while intoxicated. According to WNYT, officers stopped Jack P. Stahura, 24, at the Northway rest area in Clifton Park around 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday for traffic violations. Stahura had a blood alcohol content of 0.10%, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. The legal limit is 0.08%.
Two Seriously Wounded After Fort Ann Shooting Incident
New York State Police are investigating a shooting in Fort Ann. Authorities responded to Clay Hill Road in Fort Ann around 9 p.m. Thursday for reports of a shooting with individuals injured.
Once police arrived, they found two victims on the roadway of Clay Hill Road who had been shot. Those two victims’ injuries are considered life threatening. No word on suspects in the case.
Man Pleads Guilty In Case Of Opening Fire Outside SSPD
A Vietnam combat veteran who shot at the Saratoga Springs Police Department in a possible attempt to die by police gun fire will face several years in prison after pleading guilty to the incident Wednesday morning. The Daily Gazette reports 77 year old Paul Trinci of Malta, pleaded guilty in Saratoga County Court to first-degree reckless endangerment and second-degree criminal mischief, both felonies.

Mechanicville Realtor Charged With Forgery, Identity Theft
A Mechanicville realtor is accused of forging a signature on a real estate sale contract for a Halfmoon business. Jean Maloney, 64, the owner of 21st Century Properties and Hanks Hollow Realty, had been hired by the business to handle real estate matters as a broker. WTEN reports it is alleged that Maloney forged the victim’s signature without permission, which would have resulted in the property being sold to her. Law enforcement said the forgery was found before the completion of the sale, so the property title was not transferred to the suspect.
POW/MIA Ceremony Set For Lake George
The 56th annual P.O.W./M.I.A. ceremony atop Prospect Mountain is to occur at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 1 in Lake George, and all are invited to participate. Sun Community News reports each year, this ceremony — honoring U.S. soldiers missing in action and held as prisoners of war — draws dozens of veterans and several former P.O.W.s, as well as many military and civilian officials.
Poll Shows Stefanik Leader Among GOP Governor Possibilities
U.S. Rep. Elise Stefanik has shot to the lead of who Republicans would like to see as the new governor, according to a new poll. WNYT reports a Siena College poll has Stefanik with the support of 35% of Republicans, compared with 22% from U.S. Rep. Mike Lawler and 11% for Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman. A poll last month that did not include Stefanik had Blakeman leading Lawler 28-22%.

WNYT reports the city has issued a request for proposals related to the new shelter through the end of next year, indicating that funding for this long-term project is promising. Meanwhile, the existing temporary shelter on Adelphi Street will continue its operations until its contract expires on Dec. 31.
