A boil water advisory is in effect for the city of Mechanicville after a water main break. According to WNYT, the break happened Monday afternoon on Fourth Avenue between Broadway and Chestnut Street.
Officials needed to shut off one of the main valves to the city to relieve water pressure so that crews could find the break, impacting about 5,000 residents.
