On Monday, a jury convicted 43 year old Shahid M. Smit of selling drugs on multiple occasions in Saratoga County. Smith reportedly sold fentanyl three times in Wilton and also sold cocaine and methamphetamine in Wilton and Saratoga Springs. WTEN reports Smith was one of four individuals arrested during police raids in December 2022. He faces over 30 years in prison for the ten charges. Sentencing is scheduled for April 22.
