Halfmoon Man Charged With Firing Shots At Police

A 77-year-old man was arrested Thursday for allegedly firing shots at police when they responded to his Halfmoon mobile home. Michael J. Zirpoli is charged with five counts of first-degree reckless endangerment, reports WNYT, after police received a call reporting shots fired at the Crescent City Mobile Home Park on Route 9.
After a four-hour standoff, Zirpoli was taken into custody without further incident.
