Montagnino Proposes Waiving Fees For Additional Patrols At Jewish Houses Of Worship

Tuesday’s City Council meeting saw a proposal from Commissioner of Public Safety Jim Montagnino, revolving around the city’s response to what is current events in the Middle East. He proposed to waive fees “for additional police patrols for our Jewish houses of worship.” He proposed a resolution that would waive the fees associated with the additional police patrols at and around these houses of worship, for up to $150 per day through Dec. 31 or “until further action by the City Council.”
