A contractor wanted by Mechanicville Police turned himself in on Saturday. WRGB reports it comes amid claims that Dakota Smith, of DAS Builders, LLC, is stealing thousands of dollars and materials from his clients. Smith was facing charges in Mechanicville after the city’s building inspector says Smith faked insurance documents when applying for a building permit.
