The Troy Police Department says the man found dead in an abandoned house on Friday is 41-year old Daniel Murphy. Murphy was reported missing from Mechanicville last week. WRGB reports police were called to a home on 8th Street near Hoosick Street around 7 p.m. Friday for reports a body was inside. It is believed Murphy was using the home as shelter. Murphy was reported missing by his family last Wednesday.
